Time flies
A lot of things have happened.
I bought a new portable sound recorder Samson Zoom H2. It's a very handy thing which can also fit in your hand. Records audio up to 96kHz 24 bit (WAV format), but can also encode straight to MP3 up to 320kbps. I plan to record many real world sounds and use them in my music.
There was a music workshop on our local Summer3p festival of electronic music. Some people and I brought our laptops and tried to connect using some MIDI over LAN tools. We mostly experimented and I learned how to MANUALLY synchronize Ableton Live to an external source. This new knowledge later fueled my experiments with radio. I discovered that I LOVE adding effects to voice of some speaker in some artistic radio show where hespeaks for longer periods of time about stuff - WITHOUT background music!
I started learning vvvv seriously. Made a few simple effects (some of them connected to MIDI notes from Live). I also want to learn MAX, but time is very scarce.
I stopped performing in Trubadur in order to have more time free for making new material. That old stuff is very boring to me now. I want more drastic changes, that cannot be made in between shows. It will take more time, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
I visited Exit, but didn't find anything interesting there. It was very disappointing, what was I expecting anyway?
I'm now looking forward to visiting dis-patch. I can see that last year's visit to that festival totally changed me. That's why Exit felt stupid now.
Also, I'm thinking about changing my "music project name" (currently it's "Bogiwoye"). A friend suggested I should use my own name, like "why do you need a new fancy imaginary name?". I don't know. What do you think?

March and April mixes from Trubadur
Two mixes from March and two from April can be found at bogiwoye.info. Hope you enjoy them :)
The promo-party for a non-profit compilation album of electronic music made by artists in and around Subotica went very well. It was at Club del Lago on April 11th. The album is issued on a CD and will be given away, not sold. It's called "Subway Electronic vol.1" and my track "Hypno Toad" is on it. I also performed at the promotion together with most of the artists who contributed to the compilation. It was great exchanging ideas with them. I'm very grateful to Andrej (Huge) who created the compilation for putting my track on the album as well as for organizing the promo-party.
Currently I'm preparing for the upcoming party at Ribolovački klub, Palić scheduled for Saturday, 17th May. I'll be performing outside 9pm-10pm, and inside sometime after 1am.

Straight from the horse's mouth
(about my show in Trubadur on 27.02.2008)
The sound was fresh and clear. The guys that make Isotope Ozone definitely know what they're doing. That all-in-one mastering VST effect made a world of difference. The loops and sounds were the same as in earlier shows, but there was a new twist to things. The experiments eventually led to a more minimal, and more techno oriented sound. At times it was simply great.
Off course at other times it was a bit unorganized. There were some bloopers. That's how things go when artists perform live improvisation. Some people regard the mistakes as an integral part of the experience. Without them, it wouldn't feel really live.

Laptop at last...
Finally, last week I bought my first laptop.
It's a nice laptop. The processor is Core 2 Duo T7300 clocked at 2GHz with 4MB of L2 cache. There's 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 15.4" display with 1280x800 resolution, ATI HD2400 graphics card. It also came with Windows Vista Business.
I'm looking forward to testing it in the field tonight at Trubadur.
